Cafe Belgique in Cologne

Delicious coffee, unfortunately not a very good atmosphere - but maybe it was only like that today! :)

The chocolate cake is a treat. Very chocolaty. Definitely worth a visit.

Unfortunately, the cafe seems to be sinking into chaos. The wine list has nothing to do with what is there, and even for a 2.39 eur wine from the penny you take 20 eur for the bottle - very cheeky, see picture. Cake counter untidy, generally the service seems nice but overloaded.

Food is okay, not sensational, ... good. Criticism: Unfortunately the owners do not react positively to constructive criticism. It would be good to create new, simple plates for sirvating the food, so that as a guest you don't get a disgusting feeling for the brown stains or small dry dirt on the white / cream plates. Which was even stronger when scratched with a bare nail. Too bad ? My suggestion: As someone said so. Please please! ?? Change the plates or the dishwasher! thank you

Very nice shop

I ordered a milk shake and received what looks like a melted ice cream with one big block of ice, possibly even diluted with milk because the taste was flat. 1 star for the nice and quiet location beside the church. It is nice if you get to sit outside. The shop itself badly needs updating. Service also not the best.

Unfortunately, the wineries do not match the wines served. Praise to Ali, he really did it very warmly and took care of it !!!

Housemade lemonade is great, chorizo und aioli also! The place is located in a beautiful quiet square near the cathedral!

Super cute café in a prime location where I celebrated my 30th birthday. The preparations were easy, I was able to decorate the café for the evening according to my wishes and the staff was very nice and helpful. It was a great atmosphere and I couldn't have imagined a nicer birthday. Definitely recommendable!

The homemade cakes are highly recommended. The delicious tapas too .. like the cozy ambience and like to come back again and again!

Beautiful café right on Brussels Square. In the summer you sit comfortably outside and in winter in casual-comfortably furnished interior. Very good food and drinks and a very charming owner. Our absolute number one choice in Cologne for a relaxed afternoon / evening ......

Very nice and cozy cafe with nice atmosphere and very helpful staff. I celebrated our 30th birthday together with my brother and we were very happy. Everything went according to agreement, the service was great and we could decorate the cafe at will. The location is central, but in a quieter side street. Gladly again!

A unique coffee place

We celebrated a wedding party here a few days ago and everything was super! Good food, great atmosphere and location, and affordable. Paulina was incredibly friendly and flexible in helping us organize the food (including plenty of vegetarian and vegan options). Highly recommended!

Nice cafe with homemade cakes and good coffee and tea. The atmosphere is cozy, something reminiscent of a visit to grandma. But just relaxing. And thanks to the location did not overflow. In short: very nice.

Cash only, on a quiet, tree filled street. Outdoor seating, blankets available for a chilly day. Delicious Mediterranean quiche with a salad. The crust was so good. The waitress was nice. Inside hip decor with various style seating, couches or benches or chairs.

Nice and cosy tapas place. The food is really good, they have vegan and vegetarian options! Wine menu is short but nice. In belgian beers they have only Leffe. The atmosphere is really nice!
